"The platform is the Frankenstein of footwear."
Manolo Blahnik
That's right, the king of shoes says no to platforms shoes.
He talked about them in an interview made by The Guardian.
Here there is an extracked from the interview:
"You ask if a woman can wear my shoes if she is not blessed with fine ankles? All is not lost! There are tricks to draw the eye; a bow at the ankle to divert the gaze and the cut over the toes. The woman I would refuse is the one who asks for platform shoes. If one of the designers I work with is having a platform-heeled moment, I say no, I just can’t. The platform is the Frankenstein of footwear. "
Well, I think he isn't that wrong, what do you think?

Love your blog ... thanks for your comment. I love fashion and will certainly be back!!!
I definitly agree that he is wrong. Also, I love the tuxedo inspired outfits in the post below this. There are more great pictures of those in Paris Vogue May 2011 you would like, if you haven't seen it already haha.

Also, I want to follow you but the button to push is not showing up.
:( I'll try again soon!
I think for someone in such a diverse industry he has a pretty narrow view on "all things fashion" as I have heard it said about him! I thought fashion and shoes were about personality and all of us finding unique things we love! Well to each their own- good post btw!
